The wall walk moves you from a push-up position on the floor into a vertical handstand by walking your feet up a wall and your hands in to meet them. It builds pressing strength in the front delts and triceps while your abs control the vertical line. Advanced athletes use it at home or in functional training, for reps as a main movement or a finisher.

How to
- Lie face down with your feet at the wall.
- Push up and walk your feet up the wall.
- Walk your hands toward the wall as your body turns vertical.
- Walk back down with control to the floor.
Form cues
- Brace your abs hard to keep your hips stacked over your shoulders.
- Keep your elbows locked out the whole way up.
- Take small steps and breathe steadily throughout.
Common mistakes
- Hips sag and the body loses its line. Brace your abs to keep your hips high.
- Hands creep too far from the wall. Keep your hands close as your feet climb.
- Steps up the wall come too fast and wild. Move one foot at a time with control.
