Treadmill running starts at a walk before the belt reaches your target pace, then holds that pace for the planned distance. Running tall with relaxed shoulders and a quick cadence trains the quads, hamstrings and calves under the belt's steady, repeated impact. Beginners use it in the gym or for hybrid race training, as a main session or a finisher.

How to
- Start walking, then bring the belt to your target pace.
- Run tall with relaxed shoulders and a quick cadence.
- Land under your hips, not out in front.
- Hold the pace for the planned distance.
Form cues
- Keep your eyes forward, not down at your feet.
- Drive your elbows straight back with each stride.
- Breathe in a steady rhythm through your nose or mouth.
Common mistakes
- Feet land far out in front of the hips. Shorten your stride so you land underneath you.
- Hands grip the front handrails while running. Let your arms swing free at your sides.
- Shoulders hunch forward toward the console. Stack your shoulders over your hips and run tall.
