Kneeling Leg Circle
- Pro
- Intermediate
- Pilates
The kneeling leg circle starts on all fours with one leg extended out to hip height, toes reaching long. Drawing slow circles from the hip trains the glutes and abs of the supporting side. It suits warmups, cooldowns or recovery flows, done for reps on each leg.

How to
- From all fours, extend one leg out to the side.
- Lift the leg to hip height, toes long.
- Draw slow, controlled circles from the hip.
- Reverse direction, then switch legs.
Form cues
- Keep your supporting hips square to the floor.
- Breathe steadily and keep your neck relaxed.
- Brace your core so your back stays still.
Common mistakes
- Hips rock side to side with the leg. Brace your core and keep your hips still.
- Lower back sags toward the floor. Draw your belly in to support your spine.
- Momentum swings the leg instead of control. Slow the circle down and stay controlled.
