How to
- Sit with the handles at upper-chest height, back on the pad.
- Plant your feet and grip the handles.
- Press up and forward until your arms are straight.
- Return slowly until your chest stretches.
Form cues
- Keep your shoulder blades pinned to the pad.
- Exhale as you press the handles forward.
- Stop just short of locking your elbows out.
Common mistakes
- Shoulders roll forward off the pad. Keep your shoulder blades set against the pad.
- Elbows snap straight and lock hard. Stop just before your elbows fully lock.
- Feet slide or lift off the floor. Keep both feet planted flat throughout.
