Corpse pose (savasana) lies you flat on your back with your legs relaxed and slightly apart and your arms resting at your sides, palms up. It keeps the lower back settled against the floor while you close your eyes and stay still. Beginners use it in yoga as a warmup, a cooldown or recovery, held for the full planned time.
