Corkscrew
- Pro
- Advanced
- Pilates
The corkscrew starts lying on your back with legs straight up and arms by your sides, circling both legs together to one side, down, and around. It isolates the obliques and abs as your shoulders stay anchored against the floor. Advanced lifters use it in Pilates for reps, as a warmup, a cooldown or a recovery flow.

- Keep your shoulders anchored and core braced.
- Reverse the circle direction on the next rep.
Form cues
- Press your lower back flat into the mat.
- Exhale as your legs sweep past the bottom.
- Move slowly and control the circle, not momentum.
Common mistakes
